Breton Stripe Top refers to one of the classic fashion "must have" which was popularized by Coco Chanel in the 1930's. Breton Stripe Top was Inspired by usual French sailors top and b ased on it Coco Chanel designed a blue and white striped top which she then mixed or combined with a palazzo pants. Among the celebrities who were spotted wearing Breton Striped Top were style icons themselves, like Brigitte Bardot, Edie Sedgwick, Jane Birkin, Debbie Harry, Patti Smith, Kate Moss, Kirstin Dunst, Kylie Minogue and Alexa Chung.

Breton Stripe Top can be mixed or combined with denim, high-waisted trousers, skinny jeans, leggings and denim skirt. The traditional striped Breton top generally has long dropped sleeves and is based on simple T-Cut tubes. The Breton Stripe Top is now one of the few sartorial items that is considered classic and chic. It can be bought anywhere from the high street to surplus stores in a cheap price. One thing about Breton Stripe Top is that it never goes out of style.
