Minx Nails refers to a nail coverings that are applied with heat and can be fashioned into almost any design. The system was created by an extreme-sports fanatic and a beauty professi onal. Minx Nails are the latest trend in celebrity nails. A flexible polymer that is heated then applied to nails, like a sticker, they are a mess free, green alternative to nail polish and fake tips. Since Nails Magazine celebrated their Silver Anniversary by featuring silver lightening Minx on the cover Minx have exploded on to the celebrity and fashion scene, red carpet events, music videos and on the fashion shows. Celebrity manicurists love Minx for their fashion forward designs and ease of use. Celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and Beyonce, and Pink were already spotted using Minx Nails.

Usually in metallic color, Minx Nails can be custom made, too, even thought there are over 100 different patterns to choose from for every occassion. During the LA (Los Angeles) Fashion Week, at the American Lord Show of Christian Audigier, celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyees designed Minx in plaid and American flag tips. Minx's LA trainer Naja Rickette, celebrity "green" manicurist Jenna Hipp all worked with Minx Nails for the said show.

To apply Minx Nails, a basic manicure is performed before application and the nail plate must be cleaned of all oils and residue. The coatings are heated under a lamp or hair dryer to make them flexible and warm the adhesive. The manicurist then lines up the rounded edge with the cuticle and, while lightly dragging, presses the coating onto the nail. Lasty, Minx glass nail file is used to remove the excess.
