Haarmann & Reimer refers to one of the largest wholesale fragrance and flavor manufacturers which was established in 1874 in Holzminden, Germany. Dr. Wilhelm Haarmann established the company shortly after he discovered a method of producing synthetic vanillin. Haarmann & Reimer still has its headquarters in Holzminden and other plants in Nördlingen and Braunschweig. The company has subsidiaries all over the world, namely in France, Italy, United Kingdon, Japan, Brazil , USA and many other countries.
In 1995, Haarmann acquired the American-based fragrance manufacturer Florasynth.
Haarmann & Reimer undertakes creative perfumery at Holzminden with studios in Paris and New York. Cartier, Diro, Gucci, Givenchy, Lancaster have been some of Haarmann & Reimer's clients among many others.
