Band of Outsiders refers to an estabished American Clothing brand founded by former Hollywood agent Scott Sternberg in 1994 in Los Angeles. Band of Outsiders is contextualised in the heritage of modern Americana and the traditional hand-crafted fabrics of Scotland and checkered and oxford shirting that typifies the height of beautiful American menswear. Fabric, cuts and seams are meticulously detailed as sourced directly from the old age mills of Scotland still running to this day.Sternberg's initial concept was to create a line of classic men's shirts and ties using fine fabrics and careful tailoring. However, the label subsequently grew into designing knitwear, accessories and a line of hand-tailored suits. Band of Outsiders was named after Sternberg's favorite film, Bande a part is a story of reclaiming a tale of romanticism within clothes of a rich historical background and gentlemenship. As part of the main collection, Boy by Band of Outsiders, developed in July 2007 as the collection for women's is hand-made by Martin Greenfield Clothiers and is supports the main menswear collection which has been fronted by the likes of Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams.
