Dover Street Market refers to one of the top global boutiques located in London.. Dover Street Market which is the brainchild and curatorial masterpiec e of Comme des Garcons' Rei Kawakubo. Based on Kawakubo's own words "I want to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos: the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision" - that is what is Dover Street Market is all about.
Dover Street Market is made of bare walls, steel beams and six (6) floors of high fashion displayed in a wacky way in collaboration with the designers themselves, such as Raf Simons, Alber Elbaz and Junya Watanabe. Rei Kawakubo, is the Japanese Guru who is behind the concept and direction of this modern retail space for assorted high fashion products from designer clothes (Alexander McQueen, Martin Margiela, Gareth Pugh, Ann Demeulemeester, Azzedine Alaia, Giambattista Valli, Giles, Givenchy
Hussein Chalayan, Pierre Hardy, Nicholas Kirkwood,
Nina Ricci and many others) to the art-meets-fashion installations, and Comme fragrances. Rei Kawakubo said "We hope to make DSM more and more interesting. I enjoy seeing all the customers coming to DSM dressed in their strong, good looking and individual way. I would like for DSM to be the place where fashion becomes fascinating."

Author's Note: I will dream of Dover Street Market, London is just about 2 hours away from Germany and I have not yet a gift for myself for my 50th birthday. Maybe, I can buy it from Dover Street Market.
