Danish Design Centre refers to a center which was
was established in 1978 by the Danish Design Council which aim is to strengthen the Danish industry's competitiveness through design inves tments. The Danish Design Centre (DDC) documents, promotes and brands Danish design nationally and internationally. Rooted in the cross field between design and business, the Danish Design Centre disseminates knowledge about design and promotes the message of the great potential of using design to the target groups: Danish companies, designers and members of the general public with an interest in design. Since 2000 the DDC has had it headquarters on HC Andersens Boulevard in the heart of Copenhagen, in a new building designed by architect Henning Larsen. The building HRH Crown Prince Frederik is the patron of the DDC.
