Buckle Bracelet refers to a bracelet that features a Buckle closure as opposed to a more traditional clasp like a toggle, lobster, or fishhook clasp. These bracelets are commonly made of leather or finely woven metal fibers.
Buckle Bracelets were popular during the Victorian times which were also called Garters. The termination of the strap was often trimmed in fringe and the buckle portion commonly decorated with fine black enamel tracery (decoration consisting of an open pattern of interlacing ribs) and often embellished with seed pearls.
